SYNOPSISTHIS MOVIE :   This animated film from Illumination Entertainment and Universal Studios tells the story of the world's greatest supervillain first encountering his iconic Minions, including Kevin, Stuart, and Bob.

Long before becoming a crime lord, Gru (Steve Carell) was just a 12-year-old boy in the suburbs in the 1970s. He plans to take over his dungeon world. When Gru crosses paths with Minions, including Kevin, Stuart, and Bob, they instantly become family. Together they build a base, design weapons, and strive to carry out their first mission. When the infamous supervillain supergroup, The Vicious 6, ousts their leader, legendary martial arts fighter Wild Knuckles (Alan Arkin), Gru as their most loyal fanboy, is interviewed to become their newest member. However, The Vicious 6 is not impressed by the little boy who wants to be a villain, but then Gru tricks him into anger, and he becomes their sworn enemy.
